A Double Post

Hi Friends
Sorry I didn't post yesterday, time got away from me. So I'm going to share 2 cards today...the one intended for yesterday and one I made this morning.

This first card was made for the SCS RAK group. I'm on the welcoming committee and fell a little behind with my welcome RAKs...so I mass produced this one and all of my welcomes are the same this time. A bit of a short cut...I usually like them to be more unique.

This one is the first Father's Day card I've done...I played around with this for a while and I still dont' think I'm entirely happy with it...more to come, I'm sure. I do love this stamp set, though. My first Papertrey set and I LOVE it. It's called Father Knows Best.

New Baby Card

Hi everyone! Happy Hump Day!

My friends Justin and Jennifer welcomed a new baby girl this morning, Irelyn Rose Hartman was born at 5:38 am! I am going to see them at the hospital tonight, so I wanted to make her a card. I finally got to try one of these cute onesie cards found here. I added some bling to mine because...well I just felt glittery this morning! I will probably make some variations of this soon...several of my friends are expecting right now!! :-)

Here is the recipe:
Format: 4 1/4 x 11 w/ fold at the top
Stamps & Ink: Stampin Up ( So Many Scallops SAB set)
Button Brads: Making Memories

I'm baaack :-)

Ok, so here I am, back as promised with a page to share. I am actually having some girls over next Saturday to paper craft with me. I am so so excited. It's been a long time since I've had scrappin' buddies. I do have WONDERFUL card-making buddies here in Charleston that I am so thankful for. So I'm hoping that now this will be the start of a scrapping group for me. Because, well...Will isn't always the best judge of my pages. He tries, bless his heart, to put up with my questions about photo or embellie placement, but yeah...he's not a scrapper. :-)

So anyway, this is a page that I have all laid out to put together on Saturday. I know, I'm sort of cheating, but I'm hoping that this way, having a plan (which is SO not how I normally scrap) will help me get more done and still have lots of time for chatting, which is generally what happens at crops! So this page is not adhered yet, it's just kind of...the plan. I may change it around or add or take away...but this is the first time I've sat down for a page in quite some time now.

Here's the recipe for the page:

Format: 12x12

Paper: KI Memories

Cardstock: Stampin Up!

Stamps & Ink: Stampin' Up!

Flower: Prima

Punches: Stampin Up!, Fiskars

Brad: Fun Expressions

So there you have it...pretty simple really.

I did also go to a get together at Patti's house on Monday and we made some fun stuff there too, that I can't wait to add photos to. So hopefully I'll get some pics printed for that at some point today...or maybe I'll share them without the photos first...we shall see how much time I have this afternoon.

Hope everyone has a great day!!

Wow...it's been a while

Hey everyone,
Sorry for the long absence. Yes, I'm still alive and kicking. I've just been enjoying having Will back home after his 4 month deployment. We had a wonderful Mother's Day weekend and have been enjoying lots of family time. His kids arrive to spend 3 weeks with us next weekend, so we've been preparing for their arrival as well. Busy busy.
I WILL be getting back to paper crafting starting probably this evening, but definitely tomorrow, so I'll have lots to share very soon! Thanks to those that are still reading and I promise I'll be back with more projects than ever starting this week!!
